Who- People who are former or current mental health consumers who would like to meet people in a caring, safe environment. The Center is run by Consumers that are dedicated to mutual support, socialization skills, wellness /recovery initiatives, advocacy, and also time for enjoying leisure time and recreation.
What- Check our monthly calendar for specific dates and times. The monthly calendar regularly has a Guided Imagery Group Self Help Group, Music Group, Craft Group, Exercise Group, Current Events & Advocacy Discussion, and several trips to the YMCA. each Wednesday evening we start off with dinner. This Fall we are beginning UMDNJ's Bridging the Gap Training which will help us offer the Center additional wellness and Recovery initiatives. Other activities include outings to Baseball and Hockey Games, Bowling, Camping, local movies and plays, and Holiday Parties. We have a large screen TV, DVD & VCR, Stereo System, Computer with internet access obviously. We are active participants in COMHCO, CSP-NJ and County Systems Review Committee, attending meetings and training conferences.
When- Wednesday 5 PM-9PM, every Thursday 6:30PM - 9:PM every Friday 6:30PM - 9 -PM, and Sundays 12 noon - 4pm

Wednesdays 4:30-8:30 pm
Thursdays 5:00-8:30 pm
Fridays 5:00-8:30 pm
Sundays 12:00-4:00 pm
How- Our Consumer Manager works with the Riverbank Self-Help Centers' Facilitators and Clerical Manger to coordinate and oversee the operations and activities at the Center ensuring that we provide an open, welcoming environment that ensures the safety of members and offers consumers opportunities to better themselves by taking on new roles and strengtheing skills.
